After the easing of pandemic restrictions, the final event of the global World Summit Awards (WSA) for technological innovations was generous in recognizing achievements by Lithuanians. Three Lithuanian teams, selected from 8,000 contestants, participated in the WSA final event. Our team from UAB Coetus, UAB Vedliai, and UAB Citify Pro attended the three-day event in Mexico.
The UAB Coetus team achieved significant success in the international technological innovation competition, World Summit Awards (WSA), with their digital forest monitoring project “Every tree matters: Forest monitoring system”. Participating in the WSA final event is a great honor and a crucial step for the UAB Coetus team. The projects featured in the competition address relevant challenges faced by the world. UAB Coetus has developed a forest monitoring system that allows precise tracking and observation of forest conditions, providing information about each tree. This is not only an important step towards preserving and protecting our forest resources but also contributes to sustainable environmental and nature conservation.
During the event, the UAB Coetus team had the opportunity to showcase their project on an international stage and share their vision with international experts, mentors, and professionals in the innovation field. This experience not only provided valuable knowledge but also brought new insights and ideas.
The participation of UAB Coetus, UAB Vedliai, and UAB Citify Pro in the WSA final event highlights Lithuania’s potential for innovation and the exceptional talents and abilities of our country to engage in the international technological innovation community. It is a great example of how Lithuanian teams can stand out in international competition and create solutions that have a positive impact on our society and the environment.
The WSA competition features digital innovators competing in eight areas of societal importance: inclusion, health, education, citizenship, entrepreneurship, culture, environmental conservation, and urban development.
